Lavinia single-handedly breathes new life into harp music
After the success of Untitled 1 and Untitled 2, with Untitled 3 Lavinia Meijer adds another chapter to what she herself calls her life's work UNTITLED, a musical museum.
The overarching question of this series remains 'what style period are we living in now, what will we call this era in say 100 years from now?' For this edition, she has asked several cabaret artists to provide her with input, including Freek de Jonge and Brigitte Kaandorp. Her music is the binding factor and she will bring the whole thing as a 'one woman show'. Several visual artists will create appealing projections to accompany it. In search of the answers, Lavinia Meijer personally breathes new life into harp music.
Harpist Lavinia Meijer is one of the most important and exciting musicians of our time. With the multi-part Untitled, she builds a comprehensive work of art with different angles, connecting her music with personal experiences and discoveries in a combination with visual art, literature, spoken word, film, animations and new acoustic and electronic compositions.
