After the success of Guilt or Innocence - The Christmas Murder and The Dream Murderkorthals Stuurman Theaterproducties launches a new theatrical online court case. On 27 December 2021 the Midwinter Night Murder-trial. Jan Kooijman again assumes the role of the defendant's lawyer, Louise Korthals again faces him as the public prosecutor and well-known actors, including Barbara Sloesen, Kees Hulst, André van Duin, Randy Fokke, Gijs Scholten van Aschat, Rein van Duivenboden, Rami Kooti Arab, Tara Hetharia, Doris Baaten, Renée Soutendijk, Ronald Snijders, Patrick Nederkoorn and Muhsin Abdulwahab take on the roles of the suspects and witnesses.

On Saturday afternoon, 7 December 2019, at secondary school Hermes College - just after the rehearsals of the play A Midwinter Night's Dream - the lifeless body of the young English teacher Lieke de Waal is found. The main suspect is the recently fired biology teacher Nico Meddens, who was at war with the victim.
Now, more than two years later, Meddens is on trial. Monday 27 December, 10.00 am, the trial will start. It's up to you to decide ... do you convict or acquit the defendant?

Participants will have access to the login section of the site www.schuldofonschuld.nl and will see many videos and pieces of evidence for each day of the trial. Each day ends with an overview of all the films in succession, which can continue to be viewed on the site. It is therefore not necessary to follow the process in real time. After everyone has spoken (sometimes several times) and the closing arguments have been shown, the participant can decide whether the suspect is guilty or innocent. then, what the majority of the participants have voted becomes known. After the verdict, a short film follows showing what actually happened. It is possible to buy a ticket for yourself or a ticket for yourself in combination with ticket(s) to give as a present. In other words: a great gift for under the tree!

as a participant, you will be given access to the login section of this website as from 27 December. There you will see various films for each day of the trial. Each day ends with an overview of all the films in a row. You can also view evidence, photos and files on these pages

After five days, when everyone has spoken (sometimes several times) and you have heard the closing arguments, you can decide for yourself whether the defendant is guilty or innocent

you get a weekend to make your verdict and on Monday 3 January, the chairman pronounces the verdict. Did the majority of the participants vote for guilty or innocent?

After the verdict, a short video will give you the unique opportunity to see what actually happened on that 7th of December 2019. Did you perhaps convict an innocent or acquit a murderer? We wish you much wisdom!
