Limburg baritone Sef Thissen, known as the driving force behind the Viva Classic Live classical open-air concerts, returns to De Maaspoort this year with a special Christmas edition. The start of the Christmas season in 2023 will be heralded festively with the "Viva Classic Live Christmas Concerts". Host Sef Thissen, together with the renowned orchestra of conductor Maurice Luttikhuis and a bevy of stars, both national and international, will create a cosy winter Christmas atmosphere with musical experiences of unprecedented class.

Soloists
The soloists who will enrich these special evenings with their voices include top Italian tenor Antonello Palombi, who once again gave impressive performances at the last two concerts of Viva Classic Live. The winner of the Viva Classic Live Vocal Contest, soprano Maaike Hupperetz from Heerlen, will also make a radiant appearance on stage.

Surprise performance
In addition, we can enjoy the familiar voices of Leta Bell and baritone Sef Thissen himself. The audience can also look forward to a spectacular surprise performance that will make the evenings unforgettable. The musical accompaniment for these special evenings will be provided by The New Symphonics and Choro Classico led by renowned conductor Maurice Luttikhuis.
