He gained fame during his time with Miles Davis and his solo projects were a smash hit. The LPs 'Blue Trane' and 'Giant Steps' amazed friend and foe alike and were classics from the very beginning!

In the 1960s, 'Trane' formed a new quartet and took a new direction. An immediate change in 1960s jazz music was the result. Modal jazz was born with famous albums like 'Impressions' and 'A Love Supreme'.
