The Efteling celebrates its 75th anniversary with an enchanting dance show by master choreographer Ed Wubbe (known from TING! and Oscar). Darkride is an ode to the child in you, inviting you to follow your feelings and let yourself be carried away in the World of Wonders. Darkride takes audiences on an exciting journey full of wonder and imagination to the Efteling's iconic music. Led by a mysterious magician, a motley crew of dancers and acrobats trek through worlds where nothing is what it seems. Escape the delusion of everyday life and descend into an enchanting dimension: strange, yet familiar. A world where everything can change in an instant. Sometimes grotesque and dangerous, other times moving, poetic and dreamy. This exciting journey leads from darkness to light, past ever-changing scenes and emotions.

Composer René Merkelbach, known for the music for the attractions Raveleijn and Danse Macabre, adapted the Efteling's music especially for this show. Voice artist Luca Warmer adds extra colour to the music with her unique sound and takes the audience by the hand on this fascinating journey. On stage are the best dancers and acrobats in the Netherlands, specially brought together for this show by choreographer Ed Wubbe.
