The future of theatre
Maaspoort invests in the future of theatre in Venlo and the region. Together, we help young talent, bring people together and ensure that art and culture remain accessible to everyone. This way, the theatre remains a place where wonder and inspiration come together.
Choose what you contribute to
Jeugdfonds Goed voor Elkaar, education and talent development, special productions or the preservation of the beautiful building: you decide how your legacy will be spent. You can choose one or more causes that are close to your heart. Together, we make sure that your contribution ends up exactly where you want to make a difference.

You can include the Maasport as a (co-)heir. This way, you give part of your legacy to the future of culture in our region. - Bequest - A fixed amount with great significance
With a bequest, you donate a specific amount. You choose whether, for example, it is intended for the Youth Fund, education, young talent or special performances. - Donate in kind - Pass on what is dear to you
Donate a valuable object, such as a musical instrument or work of art. This way, you literally pass on something of yourself to future generations.
Why bequeath to Maaspoort?

Good to know:
Maaspoort has cultural ANBI status. This means we do not have to pay inheritance tax on your legacy. So your donation will go entirely to the cause you choose. Nice to know.
private donations
Thanks to the Giving Act that came into force on 1 January 2012, you can deduct 125% of a donation from income tax. Suppose you donate €1,000, the deduction is €1,250. If you fall in the 52% tax rate, the gift of €1,000 will therefore cost you only €350 net. You can therefore deduct more from income tax than you have donated thanks to this multiplier. This way, you owe less net, or you can donate more without it costing more net. However, a ceiling of € 1,250 applies. For a donation of €6,000, you can therefore increase it by €1,250.
For a one-off donation, a threshold of 1% of the threshold income and a maximum of 10% applies. For a periodic donation, these thresholds do not apply; for an annuity donation of at least five years, it is fully deductible from income tax.
giving as a company
A company paying corporate tax can deduct donations to a charity from tax. Thanks to the Giving Act in force since 1 January 2012, companies can deduct donations to a cultural ANBI for 150%, with a maximum of €2,500. For a donation of €6,000, a deduction of €8,500 therefore applies. The total deduction may not exceed 50% of the profit.
legacy
Bequeathing to our organisation is a beautiful gesture to future generations and a special way to emphasise connection with Maaspoort. A bequest to Maaspoort is free of inheritance tax. Maaspoort does not have to pay tax on the inheritance received, because we are recognised by the tax authorities as an ANBI (Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling).

When buying tickets via our website and/or at our box office, you can choose to make a donation to the Youth Fund 'Good for each other'. You can choose from various amounts. You pay the donation amount together with the ticket purchase via iDeal or via payment at our box office.
