The rousing sing-alongs that make the whole room move along.
After their spectacular 25th anniversary tour, the men of The Kilkennys are bringing the most famous Irish pub to Dutch theatres: The Temple Bar. This is the vibrant heart of Irish culture, where the rule is simple: as long as the door is open, live music sounds!
In this brand-new show, The Kilkennys bring the perfect mix they are known for: from flawless, traditional folk for the connoisseur to rousing sing-alongs that will have the whole room moving along. Whether you come for the beautiful ballads or the unadulterated energy of a real pub-night, the passion bursts from the stage. An evening of Irish friendship and fun you don't want to miss!
The band was founded by schoolmates and started touring in Ireland in 1998. In 2008, they chose the name 'The Kilkennys', named after their beloved hometown of Kilkenny. Over the years, the group has continued to grow. Today, the base is formed by Davey Cashin (vocals, mandolin, banjo, guitar, whistles), Tommy Mackey (bass, acoustic guitar, vocals) and Mick Martin (bodhrán, uilleann pipes, low whistles, guitar, vocals). From 2024, it's extra fun with the addition of Davey Long and Jason Turk, who take The Kilkennys' music to an even higher level.
