Bodies absorbed in a choreography that leads to great heights
'Paradisum', directed by Bence Vági, explores the myth of rebirth after the silence of a devastated world, where communication takes place with the body and the only common language is movement. The concept plays with the ways in which the new human can exist in this paradisiacal, utopian state.
The powerful and mesmerising imagery of 'Paradisum' is based on the aerial and ground genres of circus arts. Recirquel, the world-renowned Budapest-based company, has patented 'cirque-danse' , the genre in which circus and dance seamlessly merge. Six world-class performers will bring the show to life, blending their bodies into a choreography that will elevate the performance to great heights.
'Paradisum' debuted very successfully at the international Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland last summer and was selected in the world's top most innovative contemporary dance performances at last November's CINARS Biennial.
