How does a compelling opera performance come about? What happens during the final preparations for a major competition? During this public masterclass, you’ll gain a unique insight into the artistic process behind classical singing at the highest level.
Led by the internationally renowned soprano Eva-Maria Westbroek , the five finalists of the Viva Classic Vocal Contest 2026 will work on the pieces they are due to perform the following day in the final. In an open and inspiring setting, they will focus on technique, interpretation, understanding the text and stage presence.

- Rita Rolo Morais (soprano, Cologne)
- Vladyslav Shkarupilo (countertenor, Essen)
- Dorine Doneux (mezzo-soprano, Waremme/Maastricht)
- Anastasia Patsakidou (coloratura soprano, Aachen)
The audience will experience first-hand how young professional vocal talents are mentored by one of Europe’s most sought-after opera sopranos. A special afternoon for lovers of opera, classical music and young talent.
VCVC2026 is an initiative of the Viva Classic Live Foundation and forms part of the cross-border programme RESONANZ, in which young artists from the Netherlands and Germany – ranging from hip-hop to opera – collaborate, develop their skills and reach new audiences.
