A two-day Keti Koti event will take place in Venlo for the second time on 30 June and 1 July 2026, along with a fringe programme from 16 June to 29 June 2026. This is the time when we commemorate the slavery past and celebrate its abolition.

Through stories from our shared history, music, theatre, film, spoken word, rituals and traditional snacks, together we will once again create a meaningful space for reflection and connection.

30 June from 19:00 - Maaspoort (Oude Markt 30)
1 July from 15:00 - Limburgs Museum (Keulsepoort 5)

1 July from 18:00 hrs - Café Montego Bay (Heutzstraat 34)

Keti Koti Venlo is accessible free of charge. The full programme will be announced soon.

Keti Koti: breaking the chains
