Expect tasty anecdotes, deep cuts, rousing poetry but, above all, music from these men who play as if their lives depend on it.
In 2027, it will be 20 years since a mysterious trinity of wolf children awoke in Geleen, South Limburg. Inexplicably, they had almost superhuman amounts of rock and blues coursing through their veins. Two EPs, ten albums and an Edison later, DeWolff have played at all major festivals at home and abroad, toured extensively across Europe and set up their own record label. In Full Moon Ritual, the now dyed-in-the-wool men celebrate that they have been living off rock as wolves among sheep for twenty years.
With thundering drums, growling guitars and a howling Hammond organ, they stormed European stages and no one was the same after getting to know DeWolff. In Full Moon Ritual, they look back on the past two decades, but also explore the question of what it takes to become a wolf. What incantatory rituals and magical rites do you need to become a werewolf? Could we perhaps all learn to howl with the moon?
Full Moon Ritual is more than a rock concert. It is a retrospective that leads from Romulus and Remus via Howlin' Wolf, Wolfman Jack and Winston Wolfe to DeWolff. Together with presenter and poet Daan Doesborgh, they will take the audience on a psychedelic journey into a new dimension where we are all wolves, with a bloodthirsty appetite for more blues and more distortion. Expect tasty anecdotes, deep cuts, rousing poetry but above all music from these men who play as if their lives depend on it.
