With the new production 'My Land', the Recirquel Company Budapest, under the artistic direction of Bence Vagi, brings a fantastic show to De Maaspoort in Venlo. The combination of dance, acrobatics, beautiful music, light, illusion and physical exertion make this performance a successful example of contemporary narrative circus.

In one of the most ambitious circus projects of this season, the performers move across an earth-covered surface, creating fascinating images that evoke tradition, freedom and love. Penetrating Tatar, Moldovan and other music pieces from the Ukraine enrich the story of who is in charge of the land.

'My Land' was developed by the Hungarian-born and UK-trained artistic director Bence Vagi. This pioneer and former dancer has developed a completely new circus genre using the technique of circus artists and fusing it with dance, music and theatre. This has created a unique and contemporary East Central European style.

At the 2018 Scottish Edinburgh Fringe Festival, 'My Land' was the hit of the festival with 28 sold-out performances and the show received purely five-star reviews (including The Scotsman, Voice Magazine, Edinburgh Reporter).
