On Tuesday 31 May, we will make another all-inclusive bus trip to see the beautiful Die Zauberflöte performance in Theater Krefeld. We will leave at 17.30 by bus from the Pepperstraat at the back of De Maaspoort, in Germany we will have dinner with an introduction about the performance after which we will visit the performance. The opera company of Theater Krefeld MG presents a unique interpretation of Mozart's Die Zauberflote, with a video direction concept by Kobie van Rensburg. He has adapted the story and characters of the opera to suit the young cast of talented opera singers as well as the modern staging, which translates the plot of The Magic Flute into the world of Star Wars and fantasy cinema. For lovers of fantasy cinema, the production is a feast of recognition with characters such as Darth Vader, Ewoks, Mr. Spock, Captain Future and E.T.. They will also be moved by the virtuoso performance of Mozart's opera music and singing.

Der junge Prinz Tamino verliebt sich in das Bild von Pamina, der Tochter der Königin der Nacht. Paminas Mutter beauftragt den Prinzen, ihre Tochter aus den Fängen ihres Gegenspielers Sarastro zu befreien. Mit seinem Freund Papageno macht sich Tamino auf die Suche nach seiner Geliebten und besteht mithilfe eines Glockenspiels und einer Zauberflöte gefährliche Abenteuer in den unendlichen Weiten des Weltraums.
